My Mayan God Theory:
The Gods were angered at the Maya people for overusing the land, and not nurturing
to soil. Their crops would not grow, so the people tried to plant more. However, that
angered the Gods even more, so they decided not to bring the rains, trying to tell their
people to move to a more fertile place. However, they kept trying. Much of their life was
to please the Gods, but the time they did not succeed. They were frustrated because the
people were doing the opposite of what they told them to do. The people worked
extremely hard to try to make a living in the Copan Valley, but the Gods were
perturbed, so they cursed the Mayan villages. They spread a disease now known as
anemia throughout the land. This was too much for the Maya, and their civilization
collapsed.

My Scientific Theory:
The Mayans over planted, giving their land no time to rest or replenish itself. The crops
grew fewer and fewer each year, and without the proper nutrients found in their fruits and
grains, they acquired anemia, a blood cell disease, and their civilization perished.

I think this makes sense.
Interesting I like the way you encorperated the gods in it makes sense.
I think it was really cool how you had two different types of theories and you explained each of them really well and they both make sense :D
