My Mayan Theories

My Mayan God Theory:

The Gods were angered at the Maya people for overusing the land, and not nurturing

to soil. Their crops would not grow, so the people tried to plant more. However, that

angered the Gods even more, so they decided not to bring the rains, trying to tell their

people to move to a more fertile place. However, they kept trying. Much of their life was

to please the Gods, but the time they did not succeed. They were frustrated because the

people were doing the opposite of what they told them to do. The people worked

extremely hard to try to make a living in the Copan Valley, but the Gods were

perturbed, so they cursed the Mayan villages. They spread a disease now known as

anemia throughout the land. This was too much for the Maya, and their civilization

collapsed.

My Scientific Theory:

The Mayans over planted, giving their land no time to rest or replenish itself. The crops

grew fewer and fewer each year, and without the proper nutrients found in their fruits and

grains, they acquired anemia, a blood cell disease, and their civilization perished.

Peruvian Cultures

I traveled back in time to four cultures: Inca, Moche, Chimu and Sican.

The Moche culture that was the earliest, and started in 100 A.D. and went to 800 A.D.
They created elaborate heads using only their hands.

This is a Moche sculpture based on their mythology.

The next culture in line was the Sican. They lasted from 750 A.D. to 1375 A.D.

The Chimu culture was third, and lasted from 1100 A.D. to 1400 A.D.

Lastly came the Inca, starting in 1200 A.D. and ending in 1535 A.D.

Vice Presidential Debate

VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

Taxes

I think my plan is better than the governors, because I think we need to handle their taxes better. Joseph Biden claims that John McCain voted over 400 times to raise taxes, and Sarah Palin claims Barack Obama voted to raise taxes as well. I would vote against raising taxes, because every person should have the chance to go to college, and they can't if they are spending all their money on taxes.

Iraq

"Barack Obama voted against funding troops there after promising that he would not do so," Palin said.
"John McCain voted against funding the troops because of an amendment he voted against had a timeline in it to draw down American troops," Biden stated back.
I disagree with what the governors have said about the senators, because I beleive that we need to end the war in Iraq. We must bring our troops back, and take action before it can get any worse, if it is possible.

Health Care

Obama has a good plan. He wants the government to fund health care for people who can't afford it. I believe the government should have done that for the past years.

Economic Plan

We are going through a great economic issue. We must end this crisis soon, before it becomes worse.

I will try to add more later, but only if I get to it. Sorry!
